“Strong businesses are built on Steady Ground.”—

About Steady Ground Strategies

  • Steady Ground Strategies partners We work with founders and businesses entering a new phase of growth.

Growth changes the demands placed on a business and on the people leading it. We assess where the business stands today, where it’s headed, and what may be limiting its next stage of expansion then build the structure to support it across operations, people strategy, and organizational design.

Clear systems. Strong communication. Defined accountability.

Because momentum without foundation eventually fractures. The right structure makes growth sustainable.

  • Sustainable success
Success should not require burning yourself out. We create steady foundations that allow growth to last.

    Human-first leadership
Leadership carries weight. We design systems that support the people carrying it.

    Practical structure
Structure should support momentum, not slow it down. We build systems that fit the realities of your business so they’re used, trusted, and sustained.

    Intentional growth
We believe growth should feel steady, not frantic. Every step should move you forward with purpose and confidence.

  • Steady Ground Strategies was built on a simple belief: Businesses grow best when their foundation is strong.

Founder Jenna Monahan grew up in southern Minnesota before moving to Denver, Colorado to pursue her Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership at the University of Denver. That move wasn’t just geographic, it marked the beginning of a career defined by curiosity, transformation, and a deep commitment to people.

Jenna’s early career unfolded inside large healthcare systems, where she led high-impact operational initiatives. She collaborated across departments, streamlined complex systems, and contributed to projects that saved millions annually through process improvement and strategic alignment. It was here she learned how powerful structure can be when it supports (rather than stifles) people.

After building success in enterprise environments, Jenna felt called to test herself in a completely different arena. She joined a growing startup business and spent seven years helping scale it into a nationally recognized brand. During that time, she wore many hats: operations leader, people strategist, systems builder, executive partner. She helped guide expansion, refine internal processes, elevate team performance, and build the kind of infrastructure that allowed creativity and growth to thrive side by side.

Over time, what began as a career shift turned into something more.

Jenna felt a growing pull to step out on her own. Not to leave what she had built, but to multiply it. To bring steady structure and strategy to more founders ready to scale thoughtfully.

Steady Ground Strategies was born from that realization.

Today, Jenna partners with small and mid-sized businesses entering their next chapter of growth by helping them build the structure that protects their culture and restores steadiness to their leadership. She brings enterprise-level operational thinking to founder-led companies, equipping them to scale with confidence and reach new heights.

Reaching new heights requires new foundations.

Because the systems that built the first chapters aren’t always the ones that sustain the next.

About Jenna

Jenna is a warm, funny, grounded human who believes businesses work best when the people running them are supported, not stretched to the breaking point.

She brings a steady presence to complex situations, pairing clear thinking with genuine curiosity and care. Over the course of her career, Jenna has partnered closely with founders and leadership teams to bring structure to growth, including helping grow Sarah O. Jewelry into the internationally recognized brand it is today. She holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Development from the University of Denver, and her work lives at the intersection of people, operations, and clarity, especially in moments when businesses are evolving faster than their systems.

Known for having a pun ready at almost any moment, Jenna brings lightness into spaces that often feel heavy, particularly for founders carrying the constant weight of decision making. She has a natural ability to untangle complexity, ask the right questions, and create meaningful progress.

Outside of work, Jenna has a hobby for every season. You’ll find her fly fishing in the spring, golfing all summer, hiking in the fall, and snowboarding in the winter. She’s happiest meeting new people, playing board games with friends, and soaking in the fresh Colorado mountain air with her wife and their dogs, River and Benny.

That balance between structure and joy shows up in how she works with clients. Jenna believes growth does not have to come at the expense of humanity, and that steady, sustainable growth is built through thoughtful systems, honest conversations, and trust.
